Deep Knowledge of Teaching and Learning

Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS)  worked with Mark from 2002-2016. Initially, he was contracted to support our lowest performing, highest at-risk elementary school as part of their turnaround plan. The school had been a “D” for three out of the four previous years. With the guidance, training and leadership provided by him, the school was graded a “B” the following year. 
 

As requested by principals, teachers and district administrators, Mark has worked with elementary, middle and high schools to ensure relevant and meaningful data-driven decisions, both quantitative and qualitative, are at the core of the continuous improvement process embraced by Seminole County Public Schools. Most recently, he has been integral to supporting implementation of the district’s Instructional Model and development of the Leadership Pathways program, a deliberate effort to develop teacher leaders, future administrators and current administrators. 
 

I have personally known and worked with Mark during those 14 years and can attest to his deep knowledge of teaching and learning, willingness to collaborate to accomplish school and district goals, and his personal commitment to improving educational opportunities for all of those with whom he works.
