We believe that to be effective, data must be part of an overall system of school improvement with less of a focus on collecting and reporting data in isolation and more on how schools, teams and teachers can use data to drive instructional decisions.

We believe that there are multiple pathways to school turnaround. Because every school has strengths, we work with schools to design a customized approach to school improvement that blends what we know works in school transformationwith the individual needs of each school. This results in increased student achievement and being quickly removed from state monitoring systems.
We help school leaders strengthen their skills in leading a turnaround school and we work with their team to improve instruction and increase achievement. With the ultimate goal of long-term sustainability, our approach works to develop the capacity at the school site to develop and maintain a culture built on the right people and the right processes.
We believe that when teachers work together schools perform better. Nearly all schools—and teachers—value collaboration as a pathway to sustainable school success and provide time for teachers to work together. However, collaboration within schools can range from highly effective teams to dysfunctional teams.
By blending the comprehensive research on collaboration with over twenty years of practice, we help schools define the criteria for effective collaboration and design a plan that can be used by all teams to improve and monitor their performance.
